I was
reading an article
today in by CareerBuilder about the wrong questions to ask
at an interview. Some of the wrong questions included the
following. Will I have to work overtime? What do you
have to do to get your position? Why did the last person
leave?
The better way to ask these
questions would have been the following. What are the day to
day expectations and responsibilities for this position? Is
there room for advancement within the organization? Is this
a new position, or am I replacing a previous employee?
Often times, it's the way
you ask your question, not the point of your question that
is important. Keep your job interview questions
professional. Even more important, allow your job interview
questions to be answered in a positive manner.
Have you ever asked a
stupid question at a job interview? Has someone asked you a
