The bonuses I've hated the most
were the cost of living of bonuses. Of course, there were times
I was happy to get any bonus, even a gift certificate.
Still, what kind of bonus do you
think your boss got? For decades CEOs have been getting paid
more and more, getting bigger and bigger bonuses, even without
performance. Yet, employee salaries and bonuses have remained
relatively stagnant.
On Wall Street this year, even
though the stock market did little for the average investor,
those who work on Wall Street made out like bandits. In fact the
average bonus was $125,000.00, up 10% since 2004 and reaching a
total of more than $21.5 billion.
